BIOLOGICAL
PEST CONTROL IN SOUTHEAST ASIA (Contacts) There has been
considerable biological control activity in Southeast Asia, particularly in
Malaysia. Largely scientists of British Commonwealth countries performed work.
The pests subjected to biological control in Malayasia were exclusively
tropical, attacking primarily oil and coconut palms, rubber and cocoa trees
and rice, although there has also been some effort against scale insects on
citrus. REFERENCES: <bc-65.ref.htm> & <pooled.htm> [Additional
